BIO

Central Australian live-looping cellist, multi-instrumentalist, and songstress X A V I A creates dreamy indie-folk, blending swirling strings, earthy rhythms, and soaring melodies.

With over 5M streams, her music has taken inspiration from rich desert landscapes sending warmth worldwide. Her single SAULE the first track on the Mountain Whisper EP (December 2021) is her most luminous offering yet, ushering in gold from a distant sun goddess, while Our Silence celebrates the glow of quiet and intimacy.

X A V I A is originally from Adelaide, is one half of sibling duo Mesa Tae, and has toured in Australia, Nashville, and Europe as a cellist and session musician.

She is now based in Central Australia performing everywhere from the Darwin Festival, Wide Open Space, Adelaide Fringe, and Happy Wanderer to MONA and the Festival of Voices.

Side projects include: ‘Alice Sings’ choir (co-leader), ‘SheSings’- femme songwriter collaboration (producer), and the MusicNT Indigenous women’s music program (mentor).
